The Law Summit

The Law Ball
The largest night in the society calendar. Black tie, and a venue we are not naming yet.
The International Trip
Once a year the society goes abroad together. Where to has not been settled — and neither has who decides it.
Free if you study law here. £5 if you don't.
One membership covers all eight divisions, every event, and the whole year. If you are on a Law School programme it costs you nothing at all.
Join through LSESU →LLB, LLM, PhD, Law & Anthropology, and Law & Finance.
Any department, any year. Same access, same events, no restrictions.

Nobody should miss the best nights of the year because of what they cost.
Our sponsors contribute to a fund that subsidises tickets for our paid events — the Law Ball, the Law Summit and the International Trip — so that price is not what decides who takes part.
Applications open alongside ticket release. Details are confidential and handled by the Treasurer.
How the fund works →Hi everyone,
It is our honour to introduce ourselves as your LSESU Law Society Co-Presidents for 2026/27, and our pleasure to welcome you to LSE this year.
The LSESU Law Society has grown considerably since we first joined, built on the work of committees before us who dedicated themselves to crafting a calendar that is engaging, substantive, and genuinely enjoyable for every member. That’s a standard we intend to keep raising, and the whole committee has spent the summer making sure this year delivers on it.
Autumn Term will be dense with opportunity, careers events spanning every route into the profession, from solicitor workshops to mooting competitions. Winter Term builds on this with exam preparation running through to Spring Term, while our Outreach team works throughout to ensure the Society remains open and accessible to all. This year, we’re also placing renewed focus on our Social Mobility Fund, ensuring cost is never a barrier to getting involved. Alongside this, expect a full calendar of fun socials, from October’s welcome drinks to our anticipated annual Law Ball.
We encourage you to take full advantage of what LSESU Law Society offers this year. Few societies give you this much room to explore, question, and grow. We hope you leave with a clearer sense of direction and friends who’ll stick around long after this year ends.
We look forward to meeting you all.
Yours sincerely,
