A very warm welcome to old and new members alike!
Now is a very exciting time to get involved in Bar and Chambers—as a Mooting Officer, a judge, a mooter, and aspiring barrister. The Bar and Chambers Committee are responsible for organising mooting activities at LSE and have worked over the summer on the Bar and Chambers programme. Consisting of internal moots, training sessions, panel/career events, and socials, this programme is bound to pique your interest throughout the year.
Our vision is simple: building on last year’s successes, we strive to increase awareness about mooting at LSE and to help you build up vital research and advocacy skills useful for whichever profession you pursue. In the meantime mooting provides a great opportunity to meet people from all years of study at LSE, and even qualified solicitors and barristers.
If we can offer some advice: be an active member of Bar and Chambers. Read our Newsletters (in full!) and engage with our social media. Peruse our website (https://www.lsesulawsoc.com/bar) and follow our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/LSEBarAndChambers/) - we will be publishing information about upcoming events on there. And finally, please feel free to reach out to any of us if you have any questions!
We are excited for this year and look forward to meeting you at the upcoming Bar and Chambers events, whether they be social, career orientated or mooting.
