In this subdivision of the LSESU Law Society, we seek to bring excellent opportunities to our members in collaboration with leading law firms across the country. This will mainly be done through workshop, skills sessions, panels, and conference style events! We aim to support aspiring solicitors and provide exposure to the legal profession to get you ready for a career in law.

Get to Know the City – A Legal Forum
This event is a panel session delivered by legal professionals who work in the city. In order to demystify the application process, provide insight into ‘commercial awareness’, and set you up for success, the LSESU Law Society will partner with its sponsors to deliver an event of the highest quality that will also afford you the opportunity to network with practicing solicitors.
We encourage attendance for all students no matter the year or choice of degree. By the end of this panel, you should be more than prepared to tackle your own set of law firm applications!
Meet the Offer Holders
This event is a panel session aimed at second year, third year, and masters level students who are beginning to apply for both vacation schemes and training contracts. The panel will be comprised of current third year students who have recently completed a vacation scheme and secured a training contract at some of the leading law firms in the country — such as a Magic Circle or US law firm!
You will be able to get unfiltered access to students who were in your shoes not too long ago and we hope that this supportive event will help propel you to the career that you desire!
Meet the Spring Schemers
This event is a panel session aimed at first year law students who are thinking of getting a head start on forging their career path. The panel will be comprised of students who have recently completed ‘first year schemes’ and are willing to give you the rundown on how to make successful applications.
We hope that this provides you with a chance to start exploring the legal sector at the earliest possible opportunity so that you are aware of what sorts of careers may work best for you!
